Syracuse, N.Y. -- The National Weather Service has started issuing severe thunderstorm warnings for Upstate New York. TODAY - TUESDAY - MAY 30 ...Severe thunderstorms could bring damaging winds and large hail across much of Upstate New York today.
A severe thunderstorm warning means that a severe storm is imminent in that area, and you should seek cover. The Storm Prediction Center says there's a 15 percent chance of hail and high winds in Upstate today. There's also a 2 percent chance of a tornado.
