Republicans have votes to pass tax plan after Rubio, Corker pledge support
Congressional Republicans secured enough support to pass their massive tax plan after two critical holdouts, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) and Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.), signaled they would vote for it. Rubio emerged as a final challenge for Republican leaders, but his ultimate decision to vote for the package came after a standoff that led to a last-minute expansion of the Child Tax Credit.
