Nearly 30 people attended the meeting, which was held inside the Classic Car Museum in Norwich. There were farmers in attendance from across the region, including Little Falls, Boonville, and Waterville.
The PAO is working with small dairy farmers to urge the government to use a different formula to calculate the going rate of milk. Right now large producers are being paid the same as small time producers. It costs small farmers more money to make the same amount of milk and they are often selling it at a loss.
Farmers say they've taken a 35% hit in just a couple of years.
