NY SCHOOLS: Lots of $ No Results...

Report: New York spends most on schools, results in tests lag behind

No Joke...this is EXACTLY how the article was written...only goes to prove the report's findings!!!

"WSYR-TV - New York State Spends the most per student per-year out of all 50 states, according to a new report from Empire Center. The data was ranked by wallethub.com.

The state spends about $21,206 for each kindergarten through 12th grade student, but according to the new report, that expense doesnt necessarily equal stellar test scores.

The study compared state spending and education rankings.

For New York, that means a lot of money but only mediocre SAT performances, drop out rates and reading and standardized testin scores.

Overall, New York ranks 26th among schools across the country.

For SAT, New York State is in the bottom ten. The state's dropout rate is 38th in the country and math and reading scores are also toward the btoom.

The current school aid budget is $25.8 billion, just more than $1 billion from last year."
