Two people are facing a long list of charges after a search in Brookfield led to the discovery of methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana and a firearm.

BROOKFIELD – Two people are facing a long list of charges after a search in Brookfield led to the discovery of methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana and a firearm, according to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office.
Just before 5 a.m. Wednesday, Sheriff’s Office narcotics investigators and the Sheriff’s Office’s SWAT team executed a search warrant at 11385 Skaneateles Turnpike in Brookfield. Deputies say the search followed an investigation into alleged meth-making and drug sales at that location.
Deputies say a significant quantity of meth and cocaine were seized, along with 58 ounces of marijuana, a rifle and cash.
Kirk Nicholas, 53, of Brookfield, is charged with the following:
- Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell (Felony)
- Fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (Felony)
- Two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (Misdemeanor)
- Third-degree unlawful manufacture of meth (Felony)
- Unlawful disposal meth lab material (Felony)
- Second-degree criminal possession of marijuana (Felony)
- Criminal possession precursors of meth (Felony)
- Criminal possession meth manufacturing materials (A Misdemeanor)
- Second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia (Misdemeanor)
- Fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon (Misdemeanor)
- Fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (Felony)
- Two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (Misdemeanor)

Kerry Spooner, 42, of Brookfield, is charged with the following:
- Third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell (Felony)
- Fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (Felony)
- Two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (Misdemeanor)
- Third-degree unlawful manufacture of meth (Felony)
- Unlawful disposal meth lab material (Felony)
- Second-degree criminal possession of marijuana (Felony)
- Criminal possession precursors of meth (Felony)
- Criminal possession meth manufacturing materials (A Misdemeanor)
- Second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia (Misdemeanor)
- Fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (Felony)
- Two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance (Misdemeanor)
- Third-degree unlawful manufacture of meth (Felony)
- Unlawful disposal meth lab material (Felony)
- Second-degree criminal possession of marijuana (Felony)

- Second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia (Misdemeanor)
Deputies say Nicholas and Spooner could be facing additional charges due to results from the New York State Police Crime Lab, as well as the weight of the methamphetamine and cocaine.
Nicholas and Spooner were arraigned in Morrisville court and sent to the Madison County Jail on $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond. They’re both due back in court at a later date.
