Brookfield Man in Head-on Collision Sangerfield



Head-on collision injures 3 in Sangerfield (Oneida Dispatch)

Sangerfield, N.Y. >> Three people were injured in a Wednesday evening crash on Route 12 in Sangerfield.

Edmond Davis, 83, of Brookfield, was driving a 2015 Chrysler sedan south on Route 12 around 6:10 p.m. Wednesday when police say he tried making a left-hand turn onto Frog Park Road but failed to yield the right of way to another vehicle driving north. Davis’ vehicle collided head-on with a 2013 Ford sedan operated by Anna Ferrucci, 25, of Earlville. Ferrucci’s vehicle overturned and came to rest in a ditch on the east shoulder of the roadway.

Davis, Ferrucci, and Vincent Shuman, 36, a front seat passenger in Ferrucci’s vehicle, all complained of minor injuries. Davis was transported by Central Oneida County Volunteer Ambulance, while Ferrucci and Shuman were transported by Bridgewater Ambulance. All three were transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Utica for further treatment.

Davis was ticketed for failing to yield the right of way and is scheduled to appear in Sangerfield Town Court at a later date.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was assisted on scene by the Waterville Volunteer Fire Department, Central Oneida County Volunteer Ambulance Corps., and Bridgewater Ambulance.
